Description
of Adornment: It is a belief that, the worries and diseases
will vanish away for the person who worship God in the Adornment
of virtuous.
Events
of Worship: The Aathmaartha Moorthi statue is
kept in front of Sri Palaniandavar and holy mantras are
worshipped. On the four directions the holy water is poured.
Later, the Abhiseham and Adornment for Soukha Vinayagar
is performed. Then the pooja's for Aathmaartha Moorthi is
held.
In
Palaniandavar temple, at the left of God's sanctuary there
are statues like Eshwaran in the shape of Spadiga Lingam
and Ambigai statue.
It
is a traditional belief, that at the time of festival pooja's,
the God should first perform pooja to Thametham Aathmaartha
Moorthi via Eshwaran. So, in the presence, all the Abhisehams
are performed first to the Aathmaartha Moorthi and latter
to the Palaniandavar. At some period the Abhiseham for Aathmaartha
moorthi will not be performed.
After
the Abhiseham, Adornment and Archanai for Aathmaartha moorthi,
the incense, pooja lights and dheeparthana are performed.
Later the Prasadhams will be provided for the Devotee's.
Sri Muruga Perumaan will be in Kaavi Vaidheega adornment.
During festival pooja, the vedhic person will sing Panchapooraanangal.

person who worship's God in the Adornment of Balasubramania

for Sri Muruga Perumaan, 16 types of Dheeparthana will be
performed.

16 types of Dheeparthana are as follows:-

that time, along with the crown Vaidhige Adornment will
also take place for Sri Palaniandavar. After Dheeparthana,
Thaevaram will be composed. On festival days, Kandhapuranam
and vedham will be sung.

Description
of Adornment: In this Adornment, Sri Palaniandavar will
come in the Golden Chariot. The Lord will lesten to the
peoples problem who comes from. Eight direction and solve
them in King Adornment.

of Worship: After Abhiseham, Adornment for Lord Muruga,
16 varieues of and special worship will take plece. Later
the Prasadhams will be provided for the Devotee's.

Description
of Adornment: This Adornment will lead God to this resting
pleace.
Events
of Worship:After Abhiseham, Adornment and Archanai for
Sri Palaniandavar, special Dheeparthanas will be held. Then
a special flower named Thinaima will be distributed as prasadham
for the devotees. In this time, Palaniandavar will be in
Viruthan adornment. After worshipping, pure sandal will
be applied to Murugan's statue. On the next morning, at
the time of Vishvaroopa Dharishanam, this applied sandal
will be taken and distributed as prasadham for the devotees.
Raakkala sandal is considered as rare medicine.
During
this time, in the Temple a Special Pooja will take place
for Shanmugar, Chinna Kumarar.
In
mutts, the place where the pontiff sleeps, rests is called
Odukkam. In temples they are called Palliarai.(Bed chamber).
The
holy feet of Andacan is brought here in specified form.
The Oduvar and Kattiakaran will come chanting Thirumurais.
The feet of Andavan will be placed in a silver palanquin.
On Fridays, Mondays and Karthigai, it will be a golden palanquin.
He will be taken in procession in the outer streets or in
the inner circuits. It will resemble a king going round
his country for inspection.
Coconut
bits, Jaggery and Cardamom will be distributed. Kings used
this ritual before retiring. Nadasvaram and other musical
instruments will be played then,. Chamaras and fans will
fan the idol. Teevatti (torches) will illumine the way.
He will be taken on a path laid with green cloth. Remember;
he is not an ascetic but a monarch.
As
Muruga is considered a child, and as there are no Devis
he will be placed in ababy's cradle, the Kattiakaran will
sing Murugan Thalattu. Then the Kattiakaran will read aloud
that day's receipts and wxpenditures. This custom finds
place even is the copper plates of 1634. Then the chamber
will be closed.
Behind
are a mirror and an arch set with Yalis. On a dais sculpted
with lotuses, he sits with his left leg dangiling and right
bend, a Kowpina conceals his loins. An Yajnopavita adorns
his chest, two Virakanganmas encircle his two forearms.
One arm rests on his Swihakarna Mudra indicates that he
will bestow everything for devotees.
The
crowd gets intoxicated with the joy of having darshan of
this Lord and roars in ecstasy "Kanda, Kathirvela,
Saranam."
